Silverhill is located in Baldwin County, Alabama, approximately 25 miles southeast of Mobile and 25 miles north of Gulf Shores. Silverhill is located within 25 miles of the Alabama Gulf Coast – a 32-mile expanse of white sand beaches that meander along the state’s southern border through the towns of Fort Morgan, Gulf Shores, and Orange Beach. Coastal attractions include Gulf State Park, a 6,150-acre park situated within walking distance of Gulf Coast beaches that features cabins, cottages, and RV and tent camping. The park features several trails suitable for hiking and biking and is home to three public fishing lakes that offer excellent fishing for largemouth bass, bream, crappie, speckled trout, mullet, and blue crab.

Silverhill celebrates its roots each October with Heritage Day, a popular event that honors the town’s Scandinavian heritage with live entertainment, arts and crafts, children’s activities, a 5-K run, and community parade.
